Johnson has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dwayne Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Haynes!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Haynes circles away.
Haynes throws a one two combo.
Haynes lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnson at a distance.
Johnson is breathing heavily.

Haynes shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Haynes showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Haynes is looking for a kimura here.
Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Haynes on the ground.
Haynes sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Johnson defending well though.
Haynes not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Johnson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Haynes.
Haynes is looking to advance position but Johnson won't allow it.

Johnson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Haynes thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haynes is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Johnson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Haynes.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Johnson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Haynes did well to prevent Johnson getting side control.
Haynes keeping hold of Johnson's head, controlling as best he can.
Haynes gets back to full guard.
Johnson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Haynes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Haynes is tightening it up a little... Johnson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Johnson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Johnson taps out! nice BJJ there by Haynes!
