Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erick Dela Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Baker's choice of entrance music: Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Erick Dela Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Baker! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dela Cruz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Baker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Baker tries to move to mount but Dela Cruz blocks the move with his legs. Baker in side control, just content to control the action for now. Dela Cruz gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Dela Cruz wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dela Cruz is not content to let Baker control the position. Dela Cruz wants to get back to full guard. Baker takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dela Cruz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Baker pulls his head out easily. Baker wants to pass the guard but Dela Cruz is defending well. Dela Cruz wants to get back to his feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Dela Cruz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Baker looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Baker is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are battling for position here. Baker manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Dela Cruz throwing strikes from guard but Baker blocks nicely. Dela Cruz postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baker working for a triangle but Dela Cruz defends it easily.
Baker looks gassed! Baker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dela Cruz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dela Cruz gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Baker drives through with a takedown into guard. Baker wants to control from the top but Dela Cruz keeps moving. Baker advances to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dela Cruz tries to get to full guard but Baker has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dela Cruz punching from the bottom.
Dela Cruz is not content to let Baker control the position. Baker prevents Dela Cruz from improving his position. Dela Cruz trying to control here.
Still in half guard, Baker seems content to control. Baker is nestled in close to Dela Cruz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Still in half guard, Baker seems content to control. Baker lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Baker in particular looking to stall. Baker scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Dela Cruz tries to get to full guard but Baker has control of the leg. Baker is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dela Cruz has managed to free his arm - good work. Baker is trying to control the action in half guard but Dela Cruz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dela Cruz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Baker is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Baker dominated that round. That's time! Dela Cruz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Baker tries to bum rush Dela Cruz with a series of wild strikes but Dela Cruz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dela Cruz has his takedown stuffed and Baker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dela Cruz's guard. Dela Cruz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baker on the ground. Baker stands and throws Dela Cruz's legs to the side, diving into side control. Dela Cruz on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Baker works to advance to full mount. Dela Cruz defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. BOOM! Baker connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Dela Cruz is bucking up trying to escape but Baker cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Baker cracks Dela Cruz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Baker controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Dela Cruz is forced to tap! Great finish!
