Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jaaron Cent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlin Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Love is my Religion kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jaaron Cent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marlin Taylor! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cent defends it nicely. Cent stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cent wants it to stay on the feet. Cent doesn't succeed with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Taylor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cent was covering up waiting for the punch and Taylor finishes the takedown easily into guard. Cent has his foot on Taylor's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Taylor works his way back into a safe position though. Taylor trying to control but Cent is working from the bottom. Taylor throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cent works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Taylor wants to control from the top but Cent keeps moving. Cent looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cent is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Taylor wants to control but Cent is keeping busy and won't allow it. Cent is looking to advance position but Taylor won't allow it. Taylor is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cent's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cent's back! Cent holding both Taylor 's hands and preventing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Taylor is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Cent is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cent fending off the submission attempt from Taylor. I really don't envy Cent right now.
Taylor has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Taylor doesn't have the hooks in and Cent manages to turn into his guard.
Taylor wants to sweep here but Cent controlling him for the moment. Cent postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Taylor is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cent, into his guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Taylor works over Cent with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cent looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cent has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taylor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Taylor passes Cent's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Taylor works his way into side control. Taylor is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cent has escaped the position, nice work there. Taylor is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cent has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor trying to control the position but Cent is working away. Taylor might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cent kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Cent manages to work his way to half guard, despite Taylor's best efforts. Cent looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Taylor thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Taylor moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Cent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cent tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Taylor wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Taylor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marlin Taylor dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Taylor leaves Cent with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Taylor is looking to clinch but Cent is avoiding it.
Cent tries to close the distance and clinch but Taylor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Taylor shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cent manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Taylor with a flurry of punches that miss. Cent is working an open guard so Taylor takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Cent scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cent is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Taylor is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Cent is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Taylor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Taylor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Taylor manages to get back to half guard. Cent is trying to work for a kimura but Taylor is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Cent is trying to break free.
Taylor is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cent has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Taylor trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Cent might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Taylor sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Cent taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marlin Taylor!
