Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guru Grepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Carlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlson has chosen Rage Against The Machine: Bulls On Parade as his entrance music. Guru Grepp has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Guru Grepp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamie Carlson ! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A jab from Carlson misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Carlson . Grepp gets back to half guard. Carlson wants to control but Grepp is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carlson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Grepp has managed to free his arm - good work. Carlson wants to control but Grepp is keeping him busy. Carlson trying to mount his opponent but Grepp defends it. Carlson thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Grepp to regain full guard. Carlson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Grepp dives on top into guard. Grepp has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Carlson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grepp slips nicely into half guard. Grepp is working for a submission of some sort.
Carlson is looking for a sweep. Grepp is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Carlson is defending against the submission attempts here by Grepp.
Grepp wants to work for an arm triangle but Carlson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Grepp seems to be looking for submissions.
Carlson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Carlson wants to sweep but no luck. Carlson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Grepp gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Carlson wants to sweep here but Grepp controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grepp pushes down on Carlson 's leg and manages to get into half guard. Carlson wants to improve his position but Grepp is controlling well.
Grepp is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Carlson trying to control here.
Carlson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Grepp is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Grepp is pressing down on Carlson 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Carlson is holding on for now. Grepp is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carlson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Grepp. Carlson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carlson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Grepp manages to get himself to full guard.
Grepp has momentary wrist control but Carlson slips an elbow through the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamie Carlson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Carlson shoots for a double leg takedown but Grepp sprawls well. He's pushed Carlson 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Carlson throws a nice looking combination but Grepp bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Carlson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Carlson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Grepp avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carlson . Carlson thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Grepp to regain full guard. Grepp had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Carlson defends it easily. Carlson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Grepp keeps control of the position for the meantime. Carlson is pressing down on Grepp's thigh, looking to free his foot. Grepp is holding on for now.

Grepp is looking for a sweep. Carlson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Grepp is refusing to be controlled, as Carlson sits in half guard. Carlson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Grepp is trying to maintain the position but Carlson is very close to passing his half guard. Carlson trying to control from half guard but Grepp is working away.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carlson misses with a takedown attempt - Grepp sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Carlson looks for a takedown but Grepp sprawls well. Guru Grepp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Carlson . Carlson is breathing heavily. Carlson shoots in and drives through. Grepp sprawls well. A swing and a miss from Grepp. Grepp misses with an uppercut. A combination from Carlson does no damage. Jamie Carlson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Grepp dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Carlson misses with a body shot
and Grepp counters with a nice uppercut. Carlson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Grepp was covering up waiting for the punch and Carlson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Carlson trying to control but Grepp is working from the bottom. Grepp controlling the position. Carlson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Grepp manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Carlson has Grepp in his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grepp thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Grepp is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Carlson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Carlson has escaped and now he's on top! Grepp is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Grepp looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Grepp is working hard here to advance position. Grepp avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carlson trying to control but Grepp is working from the bottom. Carlson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grepp swivels though and keeps the full guard. Carlson working some strikes from top position. Carlson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Grepp avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Grepp wants to sweep here but Carlson controlling him for the moment. Carlson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jamie Carlson will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Carlson misses with a body punch
and Grepp counters with a right hand to the body. Carlson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grepp as he jumps to the side. Carlson tries to move into range but Grepp moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Grepp lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Carlson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carlson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Grepp counters with a stiff right hand. Grepp is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Carlson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Grepp connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Guru Grepp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Carlson . Grepp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carlson .
Grepp scores with a jab. Carlson acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Carlson misses the body punch and Grepp counters with a nice uppercut. Carlson throws an overhand right that lands on Grepp's shoulder, as Grepp tries to avoid the shot. A cross from Grepp lands. Grepp scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Carlson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Carlson swings away with a body shot that misses
and Grepp counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Carlson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carlson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Grepp is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carlson .
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carlson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Grepp counters with a nice uppercut. Grepp moves into range and connects with a jab. Carlson misses with a wild combination.
Grepp shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carlson 's guard. Grepp drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Grepp jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Grepp trying to control the position from guard on top but Carlson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Grepp gets to his feet. Carlson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Carlson just misses with a punch to the body.
Grepp drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carlson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlson throwing shots but Grepp is blocking nicely. Carlson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Grepp trying to control but Carlson is working from the bottom. Carlson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Grepp thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlson keeping moving, preventing Grepp from controlling successfully. Grepp has gone for a leg lock! Carlson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Grepp's guard. Carlson is looking to work some ground and pound but Grepp has wrist control. Carlson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grepp has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carlson has managed to get both his arms back between Grepp's legs - danger averted. Carlson lands a couple of elbows. Carlson looking to sit in guard and control but Grepp gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Grepp has gone for a leg lock! Carlson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Grepp's guard. Grepp throws his legs up looking for a submission but Carlson uses it to pass to side control.
Guru Grepp has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carlson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grepp, who protects the arm well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carlson is chipping away with strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Guru Grepp showed his dominance in that final round. I think Carlson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
