The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Carlson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Grepp is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carlson .

Carlson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carlson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Grepp counters with a nice uppercut.
Grepp moves into range and connects with a jab.

Grepp shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carlson 's guard.
Grepp drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Grepp jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
