Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brett Richards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Klahan Virote!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Richards fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Virote manages to avoid it.
Richards moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Brett Richards has been cut.
Virote connects with a body shot.
Virote misses with a straight right.
Richards tries to close the distance and clinch but Virote swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Richards shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Virote sprawls well. Virote wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Richards gets slowly back to his feet.
Virote throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Richards.

Richards wants to clinch.
Richards circles away from the clinch attempt.
Virote scores with a sloppy right hand. Richards should have avoided that one.
Virote lands a glancing blow to the side of Richards's head.
Richards takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Virote tries to clinch there but Richards circles away.
Virote lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Virote gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Richards to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Richards wants to pass the guard but Virote is keeping the position.
Virote pulls Richards in to control the position.

Richards drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Virote manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Richards has Virote in his guard.
Virote trying to stand up but can't free himself from Richards's guard.
Richards looking to hit a scissor sweep but Virote is one step ahead there.

Richards has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Virote can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Richards tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Virote is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Richards wants to sweep but no luck.
Virote trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Virote stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Virote stuffs the takedown.
Virote stuns Richards with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Virote lands a head shot.
Virote connects with a right hand. Richards shakes it off.
Virote lands a really nice looking cross but Richards seems unphased.

Virote turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Richards looks to throw the jab but Virote is out of range.
Donk. Virote catches Richards right on the button with a cross.
Richards takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Virote tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Richards circles away from the clinch attempt

and Richards counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Richards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Klahan Virote dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Brett Richards's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Virote tries to bum rush Richards with a series of wild strikes but Richards uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A left and a right from Virote both land. Nice combination.
A jab from Virote does it's job there.

Richards is rocked!
Virote cracks Richards on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Richards falls backwards against the cage. Virote follows up with more strikes that drop Richards to his knees. Virote keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Richards! This one is all over!
