The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson blocks a jab.
Forrest looks to land a left hand but Thompson moved out of range nicely.
Thompson moves out of range of the strikes.
Forrest looks to land a combination but Thompson avoids it well.
Thompson ducks under a wild hook from Forrest.
Forrest feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Thompson sprawling to the canvas! Thompson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Forrest finish him?!
It looks like Tommy Thompson has been cut.
Thompson blocks a head kick by Forrest.
Forrest sends Thompson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Forrest is motioning to the referee to let Thompson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gemini Forrest seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Forrest moves in close and cracks Thompson with a massive right hand! Thompson, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Forrest!
