Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
To Short moves into range and clinches up with Ryu.
Ryu wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ryu is fighting off a takedown attempt but To Short is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ryu to the mat. Ryu regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
To Short in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

To Short drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ryu manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now To Short has Ryu in his guard.
Ryu got a little sloppy there for a moment and To Short has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ryu has managed to get both his arms back between To Short 's legs - danger averted.

To Short has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ryu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ryu postures up in To Short 's guard and throws a big left but To Short blocks it.

To Short isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ryu stacks To Short on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ryu!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

To Short escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ryu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ryu has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing To Short to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ryu is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - To Short pulls down on the head and he's put Ryu to sleep! This one is all over!
