Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lyon Du (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Lytle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Du comes to the cage accompanied by Du Hast. Lytle has chosen Light's Out as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lyon Du! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christopher Lytle! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Du fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lytle is trying hard to land a takedown here. Du sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Du lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Lytle fails with a takedown attempt. Du misses with a body shot.

Du thows a big elbow that misses. Lytle had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Du defends it easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Du doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Du manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. That's one minute gone in the round. Du is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Du looking to pass the guard. Lytle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Du doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Du manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Du is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Du distracts Lytle with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Lytle throws his legs up looking for a submission but Du uses it to pass to side control.
Du is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lytle is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lytle tries to buck Du off but Du is having none of it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Du lands a decent elbow from side control. Du scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lytle to see if he's OK. Du lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Lytle is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Du's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Du scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Lytle is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Du lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Du winds up and cracks Lytle with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Nice strikes from Du there.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lytle moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Lytle wants to sweep here but Du controlling him for the moment. Lytle is looking for a triangle but Du pushes his legs off easily.
Lytle has momentary wrist control but Du slips an elbow through the middle. Du stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lytle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Du is looking to work some ground and pound but Lytle has wrist control. Lytle is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Du is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Du throwing strikes from guard but Lytle blocks nicely. Lytle throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Du trying to control but Lytle is working from the bottom. Du is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lytle is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Du rolls with it to try and escape but Lytle cranks on the arm and Du is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
