Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edwin Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kennedy comes to the cage accompanied by Street Spirit (Fade Out) by RadioHead. Edwards has chosen Whiskey Hangover as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Jeff Kennedy has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jeff Kennedy seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeff Kennedy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edwin Edwards! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edwards fails with the takedown. Edwards takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Edwards dives in and grabs Kennedy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kennedy pushes down on Edwards's head and hops out. Kennedy is looking to score with low kicks. Kennedy tests Edwards's chin there with a solid looking shot. Edwards misses with a looping left. Edwards misses with a looping right. Kennedy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Edwards checks the leg kick nicely there.
Edwards shoots in but no luck this time. Jeff Kennedy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edwin Edwards. Edwards cracks Kennedy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edwards fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kennedy avoids it really well and circles away. Kennedy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Edwards. Edwards tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kennedy swivels and escapes. Edwards misses with a wild body shot. Kennedy throws a leg kick that misses. Kennedy walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Edwards checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Kennedy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Edwards takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Edwards keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kennedy. Edwards waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kennedy. Edwin Edwards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kennedy misses with a looping left. Kennedy tries to clinch but Edwards is having none of it. Kennedy misses with a low kick as Edwards jumps back. Edwards throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kennedy looks to land a combination but Edwards avoids it well. Kennedy defending well as Edwards loads up on a big left hand. Edwards looks to score with a jab to the body but Kennedy is just out of range. Edwards throws a shot from downtown. Kennedy moves away and avoids it. Jeff Kennedy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Edwards wants to clinch up but Kennedy keeps it at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Edwards shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kennedy as he avoids it easily. Donk. Edwards catches Kennedy right on the button with a cross. Edwards fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kennedy on the side of the head. Edwards paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Edwards misses with a straight right. Kennedy gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kennedy cracks Edwards with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
It looks like Edwin Edwards has been cut. A jab from Kennedy misses. Edwards drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kennedy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kennedy takes the fight into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Edwards is trying to stall.
A short right from Kennedy on the inside. A short uppercut from Kennedy. Kennedy tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Kennedy misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kennedy lands with a right to the head. Kennedy misses with the head strike.
Kennedy blocks a body shot from Edwards. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kennedy misses with a body punch.

Edwards blocks a body shot from Kennedy. Edwards prevents a body shot from Kennedy. Kennedy has had enough of the clinch but Edwards keeps him there for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jeff Kennedy will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Edwin Edwards's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Edwards throws a hook to the side of Kennedy's head but Kennedy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Edwards scores with a nice right hand.
Edwards fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kennedy manages to avoid it. Kennedy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Edwards lands a jab. Kennedy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Edwards trying to control the position from guard on top but Kennedy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Edwards preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kennedy keeping full guard, as Edwards tries to pass. Kennedy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Edwards trying to move into half guard but instead Kennedy has managed to sweep! Edwards utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kennedy throws and elbow that misses. Edwards uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kennedy's guard. Nice move by Edwards! Edwards looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Edwards is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Edwards in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kennedy has control of Edwards's left arm, preventing Edwards from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Edwards pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kennedy is keeping the position for now. Edwards throws and elbow that misses. Kennedy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Edwards's guard. Nice move by Kennedy! Kennedy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kennedy thows a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennedy works over Edwards with some ground and pound from guard. Kennedy throws a big right hand that misses. Kennedy wants to control from the top but Edwards keeps moving. Edwards trying to keep a closed guard but Kennedy is proving a slippery customer.
Kennedy looking to sit in guard and control but Edwards gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Edwards throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kennedy can't keep his opponent in guard - Edwards advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kennedy taking some punishment here, with Edwards in his half guard. Kennedy is trying to stand up here but Edwards is controlling him well. Edwards throwing shots but Kennedy is blocking nicely. Kennedy moves into full guard.
Kennedy has his hands on Edwards's head, controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edwards looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edwin Edwards showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Edwin Edwards's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Kennedy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Edwards. Edwards changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kennedy tries to avoid it but Edwards manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kennedy to the ground. Kennedy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Edwards fails with the takedown. Edwards lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kennedy scores with a nice head shot. Edwards misses with a straight left.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edwards listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. A slow jab from Edwards misses its intended target. Edwards lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Edwards. Kennedy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kennedy ducks under a wild hook from Edwards. Kennedy moves in looking to clinch but Edwards pushes him off. Jeff Kennedy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A jab from Edwards finds it's way through Kennedy's defenses. Edwards shoots for a takedown but Kennedy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kennedy slips a straight right by Edwards. Edwin Edwards seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kennedy slips a jab and a cross from Edwards.
Edwards looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Edwards scores with a nice head shot. Edwards shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennedy is pressing down on Edwards's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kennedy keeping moving, preventing Edwards from controlling successfully. Edwards throwing strikes but missing. Edwards stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kennedy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kennedy wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kennedy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kennedy looking to land elbow strikes but Edwards uses the position to regain half guard. Kennedy thows a huge punch but Edwards dodges it nicely.
Edwards avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kennedy. Kennedy with the ground and pound but Edwards uses the opportunity to regain guard. Kennedy with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that's the end of the fight! Edwin Edwards comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Edwards has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
