Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dexter fails with the takedown.
Dexter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marques swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dexter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marques sprawls well. Marques wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dexter gets slowly back to his feet.
Dexter is looking to clinch but Marques is avoiding it.
Marques throws a series of strikes that have Dexter backpedaling.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Marques would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Marques must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Marques tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dexter was well out of range. Poor timing from Marques.
Marques slaps away a takedown attempt from Dexter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dexter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marques sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dexter somewhat.
A nice combination there by Marques.
Marques ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dexter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Marques rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dexter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dexter looks to score with a jab to the body but Marques is just out of range.
A combination from Marques does no damage.
Dexter avoids the head kick by Marques.
Marques throws a sloppy head kick and Dexter moves out of range easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dexter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Dexter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marques as he jumps to the side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
