The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Troyer tries to clinch up but Briggs circles away and keeps his distance.
De Troyer misses with a wild combination.
Briggs shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

I looks like Briggs might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Briggs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Troyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Briggs remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jax Briggs just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Briggs cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
De Troyer is wriggling around trying to escape.
De Troyer wants to control but Briggs is having none of it.
You get the feeling that De Troyer really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Briggs is landing with some decent strikes but De Troyer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Briggs blocks De Troyer's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Briggs lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
De Troyer is desperately trying to improve his position but Briggs has a good base and remains in mount.

Jax Briggs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Briggs circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops De Troyer to the canvas! De Troyer doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Briggs keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
