Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erick Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Hare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erick Coleman has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Hare!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Coleman gets a takedown into half guard.
Hare is trying to stand up here but Coleman is controlling him well.
Coleman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hare on the ground.
Coleman passes into side control, despite Hare's attempt to control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Coleman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hare has his foot on Coleman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coleman works his way back into a safe position though.

Coleman is bucking up trying to escape but Hare cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Hare postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Coleman looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jimmy Hare dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jimmy Hare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hare throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Coleman's waist but Coleman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hare off to one side.

Hare working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coleman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Coleman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A head kick by Hare - that's a beauty! Coleman is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Hare can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
