Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Travis Riley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Tosh! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riley jabbing away but nothing is landing. Riley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Riley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Riley is looking to clinch but Tosh is avoiding it.
Riley thows a body shot but no joy. Tosh circles away from the clinch attempt.
Riley connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tosh momentarily.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tosh checks a leg kick. Riley is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tosh. Travis Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tosh slips a jab from Riley. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riley misses the shot to the body. A big left from Riley misses. Riley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tosh manages to avoid it. A low kick from Tosh misses and Tosh takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley misses the jab. Riley misses the shot to the body. Tosh walks into a left hand. Tosh takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Riley throws a jab but it's blocked by Tosh. Riley throws a leg kick and Tosh counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Riley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tosh. That did some damage! Riley misses with a hook. Tosh ducked under it nicely. Tosh walks into a jab. Riley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tosh counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Riley! Riley tries to lock up and control but Tosh gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Tosh controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riley wants to control but Tosh is having none of it. Riley looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. Riley is trying desperately to improve position. Tosh looking to control but Riley is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Riley tries to lock up and control but Tosh gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Riley manages to regain half guard. Good work. Riley is trying to get back to full guard. Tosh not doing much here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Riley is trying to get back to full guard. Riley is staying active underneath Tosh, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Riley wants to get back to full guard. Riley is doing well to control the position and prevent Tosh from advancing to side control. Riley trying to control from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tosh is trying to control the action in half guard but Riley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Riley looks to land a combination. Tosh sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Riley takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Travis Riley will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Riley throws a series of punches but Tosh avoids them all with ease. Riley misses with a hook. Riley misses with a kick to the body.
Riley throws a hook to the side of Tosh's head but Tosh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Tosh closes the distance and clinches up with Riley, looking for a takedown. Tosh pushes Riley against the cage but Riley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Riley throws an overhand right that lands on Tosh's shoulder, as Tosh tries to avoid the shot. Riley swings and misses with a hook to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A left and a right from Riley both land. Nice combination. Riley throws out a loose jab but Tosh uses good head movement to avoid it. Tosh with a poor takedown and Tosh takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Riley throws a leg kick that is checked and Tosh decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Riley's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley wants to sweep here but Tosh controlling him for the moment. Tosh is fighting to break Riley's control of his arms but Riley is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Tosh is stalling in the full guard. Riley trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Riley manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tosh manages to get himself to full guard.
Riley scoring with some ground and pound. Tosh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Riley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tosh trying to keep a closed guard but Riley is proving a slippery customer.
Riley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Riley has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tosh is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tosh keeping moving, preventing Riley from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riley is looking to work some ground and pound but Tosh has wrist control. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A jab from Riley misses. Tosh misses with a body shot.
Riley's corner calls for a 1-2. Riley obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Riley is looking to land body kicks. Tosh keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Riley throws a body punch but Tosh moves out of range. Riley throws a shot from downtown. Tosh moves away and avoids it. Tosh steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Riley. Riley misses with a two punch combination.
Riley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tosh moves away. Riley loads up on a big right hand but Tosh slips the punch. Riley dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tosh gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Riley. Riley checks a leg kick. Riley lands a head shot. Riley looks to throw the jab but Tosh is out of range. Tosh tries for a takedown but Riley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Travis Riley dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Riley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tosh moves away. Riley throws a leg kick so Tosh counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Tosh stops Riley from standing up. Tosh wants to control from the top but Riley keeps moving. Riley looking for a sweep. Not yet Riley, not yet. Tosh prevents Riley from getting back to his feet. Tosh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Riley swivels though and keeps the full guard. Riley pushes Tosh off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tosh bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Riley shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Riley thows a leg kick but Tosh checks it and Tosh counters with a nice body shot. Riley swings for the body but Tosh moves out of range.
Tosh delivers a nice body kick. Riley misses with a hook. Tosh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Riley but Riley pushes him off and we're back to square one. Riley misses with a hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A leg kick checked by Riley. Tosh shoots in but no luck this time. Riley misses the shot to the body. Riley lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Tosh counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tosh prevents Riley from improving his position. Tosh performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Tosh is thwarting Riley's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tosh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Riley wants to control but Tosh is keeping busy and won't allow it. Tosh looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Riley gets full guard. Tosh trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tosh is fighting to break Riley's control of his arms but Riley is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Riley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Riley wants to sweep but no luck. Riley wants to stand but Tosh is controlling the position. Riley working a defensive guard here.
Riley pulls Tosh in close to prevent any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Peter Tosh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Riley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
