Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Royal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and james wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). wade is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: not afraid. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Royal rushes wade and presses him up against the cage.
wade drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Royal wants to control from the top but wade keeps moving.
Royal has gone for a leg lock! wade slips out almost immediately though and dives into Royal's guard.
Royal throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
wade wants to control from the top but Royal keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
wade stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Royal swivels though and keeps the full guard.

wade wants to stand but Royal has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Royal looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? wade is fending him off so far but Royal persists. Nope, wade circles away and we're back to standing.

Royal manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Royal sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

wade pushes Royal off but Royal dives into side control.
Royal swings around for an armbar but wade sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Royal's guard.
Royal is breathing heavily.
wade with a flurry of punches that miss.
Royal is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and wade defends well.
wade trying to control the position from guard on top but Royal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Royal doesn't succeed with the takedown
and wade makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Royal gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows wade to score an easy takedown into full guard.
wade stands and throws Royal's legs to the side, diving into side control.

wade decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

wade cracks Royal with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
wade has control of Royal's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Royal regains control of the situation pretty easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Royal is trying to escape the mount.
wade with a couple of short strikes.
wade looking to control but Royal is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Royal tries to lock up and control but wade gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

james wade showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Royal darts in trying to clinch
and wade counters with a head kick. That will keep Royal thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Royal has wade pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. wade manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

wade shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Royal napping and manages to drive through into side control!

wade decides to stand up, so the ref orders Royal to his feet.

and wade decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Royal's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

wade throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Royal works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Royal has momentary wrist control but wade slips an elbow through the middle.
Royal might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Royal is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
wade looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
wade wants to pass the guard but Royal is keeping the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
wade closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
wade is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Royal wants to control but wade is keeping busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Royal is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

james wade comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well wade has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
