1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Omar! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Omar throws a leg kick but Diaz checks it. Omar throws a low kick but it's checked well by Diaz. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Omar has eaten all the pies! Diaz finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Diaz scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Omar misses with a low kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Diaz checks a leg kick. Diaz shoots for a takedown but Omar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Omar tries a head kick but it misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Omar won't allow Diaz to pass to mount. Diaz is working for a submission of some sort.
Diaz is keen to just control but Omar is a slippery customer. Diaz is taking a breather. Omar says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Omar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Omar misses with a leg kick and Diaz counters with a head kick. Diaz takes a swing at Omar's ribcage but misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Omar sprawls well. He's pushed Diaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Omar wants to slow Diaz down by chopping away at his legs. Omar throws the kick towards the body but Diaz avoids it. Diaz throws a hook but Omar blocks it. Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Omar moves away. Diaz throws a leg kick but Omar sees it coming and checks it nicely. Omar tries a head kick but it misses.
Omar will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Omar buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

A low kick from Omar misses and Diaz counters with a shoot takedown. Omar fights it but they end up in guard. Omar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Diaz. Omar pushes Diaz away with a front kick. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Omar paws at him with a jab and circles away. Omar throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range. Diaz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Diaz trying to control but Omar is working from the bottom. Diaz won't allow Omar to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Diaz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Omar is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Omar has had enough of the clinch but Diaz keeps him there for the moment. Diaz fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Diaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Omar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Carmelo Diaz will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Diaz with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Diaz lands a couple of digs. Omar keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Omar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Good work by Diaz as he checks the leg kick. Omar throws a leg kick and Diaz counters with an inside leg kick. Omar fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Diaz checks it well. Omar lands with a slapping head kick. Omar fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Diaz is out of range. Omar lands a high kick!

Omar pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Some bone on bone action there as Diaz checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diaz. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Omar lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Diaz has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Diaz and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jose Omar. I think Diaz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
