Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Kreutzberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dusha Metelkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kreutzberg comes to the cage accompanied by "Engel" by Rammstein. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mario Kreutzberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dusha Metelkin! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Metelkin moves in looking to clinch but Kreutzberg pushes him off. Metelkin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kreutzberg is fending him off so far but Metelkin persists. Nope, Kreutzberg circles away and we're back to standing. Kreutzberg changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Metelkin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Metelkin looks gassed! Metelkin regains half guard there - taking advantage of Kreutzberg's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Metelkin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Metelkin tries to roll over but Kreutzberg keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kreutzberg wants to take a breather but Metelkin is having none of it. Kreutzberg trying to control the pace. Metelkin is concentrating on defense, preventing Kreutzberg from advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kreutzberg is looking for a kimura but Metelkin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kreutzberg to get the leverage. Metelkin tries to get to full guard but Kreutzberg has control of the leg. Kreutzberg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Metelkin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kreutzberg.
Kreutzberg plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Metelkin with a poor takedown and Kreutzberg counters with a nice double leg into guard. Metelkin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kreutzberg has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Metelkin is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Metelkin is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Kreutzberg wants to control from the top but Metelkin keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Metelkin is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Metelkin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kreutzberg keeping moving, preventing Metelkin from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kreutzberg trying to keep a closed guard but Metelkin is proving a slippery customer.
Metelkin wants to control from the top but Kreutzberg keeps moving. Kreutzberg trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Metelkin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kreutzberg tries to clinch but fails miserably and Metelkin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kreutzberg pushes Metelkin off but Metelkin dives into side control.

Metelkin content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Metelkin fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That was a close round but I would say that Mario Kreutzberg will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Kreutzberg displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Mario Kreutzberg is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Metelkin tries for a takedown but Kreutzberg circles away easily and Kreutzberg counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Metelkin is lucky that one didn't land flush. Kreutzberg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kreutzberg throws a head kick that misses. Kreutzberg lands with a kick to the temple. Metelkin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Metelkin with a poor takedown and Kreutzberg counters with a head kick. That will keep Metelkin thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Metelkin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kreutzberg's guard. Metelkin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kreutzberg doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Metelkin wants to control from the top but Kreutzberg keeps moving. Metelkin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Metelkin wanted to stand there but Kreutzberg had control of the position. Metelkin trying to control the position from guard on top but Kreutzberg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A head kick misses from Kreutzberg. Metelkin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kreutzberg kicks Metelkin off and gets back to his feet. Kreutzberg stuffs the takedown attempt from Metelkin. Metelkin gets slowly back to his feet. Mario Kreutzberg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dusha Metelkin. Metelkin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Metelkin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kreutzberg counters with a solid body kick. Kreutzberg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kreutzberg has Metelkin up against the cage in a clinch.
Metelkin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kreutzberg gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Metelkin fails to pull guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kreutzberg is looking to control Metelkin's arms but Metelkin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kreutzberg has his back to the cage. Kreutzberg lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Kreutzberg lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Metelkin is looking to clinch. Kreutzberg lands a head kick. Metelkin smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Metelkin shoots in and drives through. Kreutzberg sprawls well. Metelkin tries to clinch there but Kreutzberg circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Metelkin fails to land the takedown. Metelkin blocks a head kick by Kreutzberg.

Kreutzberg has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Metelkin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Mario Kreutzberg dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
A head kick from Kreutzberg lands but Metelkin takes it in his stride. Kreutzberg's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Kreutzberg duly obliges. Metelkin has a takedown stuffed. Metelkin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kreutzberg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Metelkin with a poor takedown and Kreutzberg counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mario Kreutzberg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dusha Metelkin. Kreutzberg moves into range and clinches up with Metelkin. Kreutzberg breaks from the clinch.
Metelkin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Dusha Metelkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Metelkin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kreutzberg sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Metelkin somewhat. Kreutzberg looks to clinch and Metelkin counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kreutzberg trying to control but Metelkin postures up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Metelkin in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Metelkin tries to pass to full mount but Kreutzberg defends it. Kreutzberg is trying to stand up here but Metelkin is controlling him well. Metelkin controlling the action here. Metelkin moves nicely into side control. Kreutzberg tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kreutzberg can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Metelkin stands up and beckons Kreutzberg to his feet. Kreutzberg throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Metelkin. Kreutzberg tries to land a front kick but Metelkin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Metelkin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kreutzberg is trying to stand up here but Metelkin is controlling him well. Kreutzberg wants to control but Metelkin is keeping busy.
Kreutzberg tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Metelkin has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Metelkin pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Metelkin has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Kreutzberg's body.
Kreutzberg wants to get back to his feet. Metelkin keeps control of the position easily here as Kreutzberg tries to buck him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Metelkin is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Metelkin doesn't have the hooks in and Kreutzberg manages to turn into his guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Dusha Metelkin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kreutzberg has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
