Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikio Okita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathaniel Reigle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Reigle's choice of entrance music: So Common So Cheap. Nathaniel Reigle will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikio Okita! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathaniel Reigle! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okita shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Reigle sprawls well. Reigle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Okita gets slowly back to his feet. Okita pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Reigle tries to clinch up but Okita circles away and keeps his distance. Reigle takes one on the button. Reigle attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Reigle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nice sprawl there from Reigle as Okita shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikio Okita. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Okita throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Reigle connects with a solid leg kick. Reigle throws a quick inside leg kick. Okita ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Okita takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mikio Okita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reigle moves into the clinch. Okita letting Reigle take a breather here. Reigle scores with a shot to the side of Okita's head. A short left from Reigle. Reigle is stalling here.
Okita has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Reigle regains guard immediately. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Okita pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reigle is keeping the position for now. Reigle is looking to stand up but Okita isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Okita wants to control from the top but Reigle keeps moving. Reigle is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Okita is controlling him. Okita stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reigle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Okita drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reigle manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Okita has Reigle in his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reigle seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Okita looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Okita seems keen to control Reigle's posture. Okita looking for a guillotine here but Reigle defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Okita pulls Reigle in close to prevent any damage. Reigle wants to stand and escape but instead Okita has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Reigle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Okita. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Okita trying to control but Reigle is working from the bottom. Okita preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathaniel Reigle dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Reigle throws a body punch but Okita moves out of range. Okita is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Okita lands a really nice looking cross but Reigle seems unphased.
Reigle looks to throw the jab but Okita is out of range. Reigle throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Reigle misses with a wild body shot. Okita fails with the takedown and Reigle counters with a nice low kick that buckles Okita's knee momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Okita shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Reigle is trying to defend but Okita finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Okita trying to pass the guard but Reigle defending well.

Let's see if Reigle can do anything to dispel that myth. Reigle tries to roll over but Okita keeps him under control. Reigle won't allow Okita to pass to mount. Reigle is refusing to be controlled, as Okita sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Okita is working for a submission of some sort.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Reigle throws a shot from downtown. Okita moves away and avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reigle takes a swing at Okita's ribcage but misses. Okita shoots in for a takedown but Reigle shows good takedown defense. Reigle tries to clinch but Okita moves out of range. Okita blocks a jab. Okita misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Reigle counters with a low kick, right behind Okita 's knee. Okita sizes up Reigle with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Reigle scores with a nice right hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Okita pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reigle is keeping the position for now. Okita is working hard here to advance position. Reigle can't keep his opponent in guard - Okita advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reigle holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Okita is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Reigle sees it coming and defends easily. Okita is looking to take a break and control but Reigle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikio Okita dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Okita jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reigle walks away with a smile on his face. Okita gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A big left from Reigle misses. Reigle lands a head shot. Reigle misses with a hook. Okita ducked under it nicely. Okita shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikio Okita. That's going to take a lot out of him. Okita scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Okita thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Okita laying and praying for a moment but Reigle takes advantage and regains half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Okita displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Reigle throws out the jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Reigle. Okita does a little dance to reset his feet. Okita swings and misses with a shot to the body and Reigle counters with a head kick. Okita misses the jab. Reigle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Okita looks to land a right hand but Reigle moved out of range. Okita looks to score with a jab to the body but Reigle is just out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters circling - Okita throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Okita looks to land a right hand but Reigle moved out of range. Okita is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Okita scores with a jab. Reigle acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Reigle takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Okita shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reigle but Reigle pushes him off and we're back to square one. Reigle slips a straight right by Okita. Okita just misses with a punch to the body.
Okita looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Reigle! Okita wants to control the pace but Reigle is squirming around nicely. Reigle trying desperately to get to his feet.
Mikio Okita has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Okita moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Reigle has worked his arm free - good work by Reigle!
Okita working away. Reigle sneaks out the side door and pushes Okita away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Okita fails to land the takedown. Okita tries to bum rush Reigle with a series of wild strikes but Reigle uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nathaniel Reigle is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Okita fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reigle manages to avoid it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Horrible takedown by Okita or perhaps it was just good defense by Reigle which made him look bad. Reigle lets loose with a powerful body kick. Okita will feel that in the morning.
And that's the end of the fight! Nathaniel Reigle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Reigle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
