Betoli is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mario theme. Aaron Steiner has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steiner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Steiner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Betoli tries to clinch up but Steiner circles away and keeps his distance.
Steiner is looking to land body kicks.

Steiner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Betoli on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Betoli slips a jab and a cross from Steiner.
Steiner pushes Betoli up against the cage in a clinch.

Steiner blocks a body shot from Betoli.

and Steiner counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Betoli's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steiner avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Steiner is working Betoli over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Steiner cracks Betoli with a solid left hand.

Betoli tries to roll over but Steiner keeps him under control.

Betoli had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Steiner is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Betoli Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Steiner's back instead.
Betoli looking to break Steiner's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Steiner remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Betoli will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Steiner breaks Betoli's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Betoli is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steiner flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Betoli seems to be working for a kimura but Steiner defends the submission attempt.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Steiner is pulling down on Betoli's head to control his posture.
Betoli drops back looking for a leg! Steiner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steiner manages to kick Betoli off! Betoli jumps back into Steiner's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Steiner dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Betoli loads up on a big right hand but Steiner slips the punch.
Betoli tries to close the distance and clinch but Steiner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Steiner closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Betoli is staying active underneath Steiner, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Betoli moves into full guard.
Betoli manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Steiner manages to get himself to full guard.

Betoli is looking to advance position but Steiner won't allow it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Steiner tries to buck Betoli off but Betoli is having none of it.

Betoli goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Steiner has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Betoli but great work by Steiner.

Betoli is looking to sinch up a triangle. Steiner throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Betoli's body to avoid the submission. Betoli has instead reached around Steiner's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Betoli arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
