PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Garnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladan Ctirad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ctirad is trying hard to land a takedown here. Garnett sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Garnett looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ctirad is fending him off so far but Garnett persists. Nope, Ctirad circles away and we're back to standing.

Ctirad changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garnett tries to avoid it but Ctirad manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garnett to the ground. Garnett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ctirad will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Garnett is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ctirad to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ctirad shrugs it off.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garnett is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ctirad is surviving well by controlling Garnett's body position as best he can.

Ctirad really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garnett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ctirad tries to lock up and control but Garnett gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Garnett is trying to drag Ctirad to the mat but Ctirad just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
