Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bad Boy 4 Life. Kimura is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Inner Light by Shocking Lemon. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Tatsuya Kimura enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsuya Kimura! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz shoots in and drives through. Kimura sprawls well. Kimura forces Ortiz back against the cage and clinches. Kimura lands a nice shot to the body. Kimura drags the fight down to the ground.
Ortiz wants to pass the guard but Kimura is keeping the position. Ortiz looking to sit in guard and control but Kimura gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kimura controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ortiz keeping full guard, as Kimura tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimura prevents Ortiz from getting back to his feet. Kimura looking to pass the guard. Ortiz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kimura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kimura is stalling in the full guard. Kimura trying to control the position from guard on top but Ortiz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ortiz walks into a jab. Kimura misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ortiz steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kimura. That one must have hurt. Kimura instigates a clinch. Ortiz tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kimura is leaning against Ortiz and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Kimura working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Kimura lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ortiz or not. Ortiz is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kimura gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tito Ortiz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kimura landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kimura pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ortiz tumbling to the mat - Kimura dives into Ortiz's guard. Kimura slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kimura scores with a decent looking elbow strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ortiz takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Kimura is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Kimura listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kimura thows a body kick. Ortiz tries to catch it but that hurt him. A nice inside leg kick there by Kimura. That's going to slow Ortiz down. A big right from Ortiz misses. Ortiz misses with an uppercut. Kimura saw that one coming. Ortiz walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kimura. Kimura buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ortiz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kimura's half guard. Kimura keeping hold of Ortiz's head, controlling as best he can. Kimura wants to improve his position but Ortiz is controlling well.

Ortiz with a flurry of punches that miss. Kimura bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ortiz's guard. Kimura slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ortiz controls Kimura momentarily but Kimura frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kimura trying to control the position from guard on top but Ortiz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kimura controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ortiz keeping moving, preventing Kimura from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ortiz controls Kimura momentarily but Kimura frees himself. Ortiz looking for a sweep. Not yet Ortiz, not yet. Ortiz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ortiz misses with an uppercut. Tatsuya Kimura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kimura throws a big shot that misses. Ortiz chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kimura can pounce on him.
Kimura scores with a spinning back kick! Kimura fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tito Ortiz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kimura lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ortiz's sensitive parts. Kimura misses with a looping left. Kimura throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kimura thuds his shin into the meat of Ortiz's side. Kimura closes the distance and clinches. Ortiz's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Ortiz lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kimura. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kimura. Kimura lands a shot to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kimura works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Tatsuya Kimura showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kimura closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kimura has picked Ortiz up - he's going for a ride! Kimura dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Ortiz wants to improve his position but Kimura is controlling well.
Kimura controlling the action here. Kimura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ortiz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ortiz trying to get back to full guard but Kimura takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Ortiz is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kimura controlling from the full mount. Kimura trying to control but Ortiz is having none of it. Kimura sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Kimura has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ortiz is desperately trying to improve his position but Kimura has a good base and remains in mount. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Ortiz has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kimura avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kimura lands a nice shot to the body. Kimura landing knees to the body.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Kimura creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ortiz's defenses.

Kimura wants to pass to mount but Ortiz is defending the position. Kimura keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Kimura takes a swing at Ortiz's ribcage but misses. Kimura thuds his shin into the meat of Ortiz's side. Kimura scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Ortiz tries for a takedown but Kimura circles away easily and Kimura counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kimura throws a nice outside leg kick. Ortiz takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kimura obliges. Kimura is pressed up against the cage. Ortiz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kimura down to the mat. Kimura avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Kimura moves into the clinch successfully.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kimura obliges. Kimura lands with a left to the head. Kimura landing knees to the body.

Kimura is adopting a defensive guard. Ortiz throws and elbow that misses. Kimura uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ortiz's guard. Nice move by Kimura! Kimura pushing down on Ortiz's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

And that's the end of the fight! Tatsuya Kimura comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kimura has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
