PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mitchell Katindig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Katindig comes to the cage accompanied by Dont Touch Me now. The crowd seem to be enjoying Cook's choice of entrance music: Black and Yellow - Wiz Khalif. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katindig shoots in but no luck this time.
Cook stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cook wants it to stay on the feet.
Katindig misses with a takedown attempt - Cook sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitchell Katindig. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cook looks to throw the jab but Katindig is out of range.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cook cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

You get the feeling that Katindig really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Cook has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Katindig's face.

Cook is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Katindig can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
You get the feeling that Katindig really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Cook lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Katindig's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Shane Cook comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cook has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
