The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Habanero will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Habanero throws a right and a left that Rogain avoids nicely.
Habanero just misses with a punch to the body.
Habanero throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rogain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Habanero but Habanero pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rogain uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Habanero.
Habanero keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Habanero misses with a few strikes there.
Habanero works the jab nicely.
Rafael Habanero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Habanero lands a jab to the nose.
Rogain will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rafael Habanero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Rogain.
Rogain chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Habanero can pounce on him.
A punch combination from Habanero misses.
Rogain looks to land a combination but Habanero avoids it well.
Rogain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Habanero as he jumps to the side.
Rogain looks gassed!
Habanero scores with a nice head shot.
Rogain is rocked!
No joy there for Habanero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Habanero lands a jab to Rogain's midsection.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Habanero walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Rogain drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Habanero swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Rogain's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafael Habanero!
