The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koleznik lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Ryan Independent has been cut.

Koleznik throws a wild body kick that Independent sees coming a mile off.
Koleznik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Independent paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Koleznik shoots in looking for a takedown. Independent tries to sprawl out of it but Koleznik keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Independent manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Koleznik jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Independent walks away with a smile on his face. Koleznik gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Koleznik misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Koleznik is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Koleznik swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Independent stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Koleznik.
Koleznik tries to close the distance and clinch but Independent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Rok Koleznik dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ryan Independent's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Koleznik tries to close the distance and clinch up but Independent swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Independent darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Independent wants to stand up but Koleznik has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Independent is thwarting Koleznik's attempts to control the position.
Koleznik might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Independent kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Koleznik makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Koleznik.
Independent wants to stand but Koleznik has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Koleznik bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Independent's guard.

Koleznik drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Koleznik seems to have locked his on tight now - Independent screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Koleznik, as he picks up the win!
