Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Damien William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and derek Sherinian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Damien William! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, derek Sherinian! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sherinian tries to score a power double leg takedown but William sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sherinian somewhat. Sherinian misses with a takedown attempt - William sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sherinian. Damien William has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of derek Sherinian. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sherinian. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sherinian drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherinian content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. William looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sherinian manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. William manages to get himself to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. William displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sherinian. William misses with a low kick. derek Sherinian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. William throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sherinian gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. William stands and throws Sherinian's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sherinian wants to control but William postures up. Sherinian throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
William wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sherinian keeps working. Sherinian tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but William wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. William trying to control the position but Sherinian is working away. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sherinian misses with a takedown and William holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damien William dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sherinian tries for a takedown but William circles away easily and William counters with a shoot takedown. Sherinian fights it but they end up in guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sherinian can do anything to dispel that myth. Sherinian tries to strike from the bottom.

Sherinian got a little sloppy there for a moment and William has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sherinian has managed to get both his arms back between William's legs - danger averted. Sherinian working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of William's head. Sherinian lands a couple of decent looking shots. Sherinian is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. There ya go! Sherinian slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sherinian works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

William takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Check out the look on Sherinian's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That could mean trouble for Sherinian! Damien William has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of derek Sherinian. Sherinian is trying desperately to improve position. William looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. William landing strikes from the mount. Sherinian wants to control but William is having none of it.

Sherinian is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sherinian is desperately trying to improve his position but William has a good base and remains in mount. William wants to control the pace but Sherinian is squirming around nicely. Sherinian is mounted and he's throwing punches. Is that wise? William trying to control but Sherinian is having none of it. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. William looking for a guillotine from mount but Sherinian is having none of it. Sherinian is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sherinian manages to regain half guard. Good work. William thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sherinian's head. Sherinian is looking for a sweep. William is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. William is looking to take a break and control but Sherinian is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. William is looking for a kimura here.
And that's the end of the fight! Damien William showed his dominance in that final round. Well William has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
