Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rui Boia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Weber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Boia. No joy for Weber on that attempt.
Boia stuffs the takedown attempt from Weber. Weber gets slowly back to his feet.
Weber shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boia as he jumps to the side.
Rui Boia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Weber.
Nice sprawl there from Boia as Weber shoots in.
Weber tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boia paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Boia feints and as Weber raises his hands in defense, Boia changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Boia scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Weber trying to keep a closed guard but Boia is proving a slippery customer.
Boia working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Boia postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Boia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Weber is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boia throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Weber utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Weber is trying to control the position but Boia postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Weber misses with a takedown attempt

and Boia counters with a nice double leg into side control. Weber won't be happy with that.
Boia lands some shots froms side control.

Boia has an Americana. Weber didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Boia is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Boia hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
