Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Bunoyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Trane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Bunoyan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cole Trane!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bunoyan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Trane circles away.

Bunoyan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Trane's guard.
Bunoyan won't allow Trane to sweep him here.

Bunoyan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Trane has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bunoyan has managed to get both his arms back between Trane's legs - danger averted.
Bunoyan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bunoyan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Trane is looking for a triangle but Bunoyan pushes his legs off easily.

Bunoyan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bunoyan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bunoyan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trane swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Trane is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bunoyan defends well.

Trane has his foot on Bunoyan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bunoyan works his way back into a safe position though.

Trane looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Trane wants to improve his position but instead Bunoyan has moved into half guard.
Trane is staying active underneath Bunoyan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Trane is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bunoyan jumps into side control!
Trane tries to buck Bunoyan off but Bunoyan is having none of it.

Bunoyan tries for a kimura but Trane is defending well.
Trane tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Bunoyan decides to stand back up. Bunoyan steps back and let's Trane get back to his feet.
Bunoyan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Trane is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bunoyan's half guard.
Trane is keen to just control but Bunoyan is a slippery customer.
Trane lands strikes from half guard.
Bunoyan tries to roll over but Trane keeps him under control.
Trane wants to pass the guard but Bunoyan is defending well.

Bunoyan regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Trane.

Trane is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bunoyan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bunoyan has escaped and now he's on top!

Trane working for a triangle but Bunoyan defends it easily.

Trane throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bunoyan escapes and throws Trane's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Trane is looking to regain half guard here but Bunoyan keeps moving and retains side control.

Bunoyan in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Trane sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Trane gets full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trane is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bunoyan content to stall in guard here.

Trane looking for a guillotine here but Bunoyan defends easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Cole Trane dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Trane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bunoyan to the mat! Bunoyan manages to get full guard.
Cole Trane has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bunoyan throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Bunoyan is looking to stand up but Trane isn't so interested in that idea.
Bunoyan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Trane postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bunoyan is trying to keep Trane in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bunoyan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Trane.
Trane missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Trane postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bunoyan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Trane, into his guard.

Trane looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Trane tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Trane working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Bunoyan has passed into half guard!
Trane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Trane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bunoyan defends it easily.

Trane is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Trane has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bunoyan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bunoyan won't allow Trane to sweep him here.
Bunoyan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Trane tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Trane keeping moving, preventing Bunoyan from controlling successfully.
Bunoyan passes Trane's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Bunoyan is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Trane is looking to improve his position but Bunoyan isn't that keen on the idea.

Bunoyan quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Bunoyan but it's paid off an Trane is forced to tap! Nice work by Bunoyan.
