Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tai Sonni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gnagis Starksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tai Sonni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gnagis Starksson!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonni stuffs the takedown.
Sonni throws a series of punches but Starksson moves out of range.
Sonni throws a one two combo.
A left lands for Sonni.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Starksson.
Starksson shoots in looking for a takedown. Sonni tries to sprawl out of it but Starksson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sonni manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tai Sonni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gnagis Starksson.
Starksson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sonni to the mat! Sonni manages to get full guard.

Sonni knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Starksson on the ground.
Sonni has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Starksson is proving hard to escape from.

Starksson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sonni manages to get himself to full guard.

Starksson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sonni.

Starksson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Starksson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
