Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Buddy BJ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gengis Kan!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows BJ to score an easy takedown into full guard.
BJ might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kan wants to stand and escape but BJ is having none of it.
Kan looking for a guillotine here but BJ defends easily.
Kan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
BJ is not content to let Kan control the position.
Kan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
BJ is looking to control Kan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can BJ avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kan wants to control but BJ is keeping him busy.
Kan looks to land a strike but BJ avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
BJ has his hands on Kan's head, controlling the position.
BJ is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kan is staying active underneath BJ, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
BJ seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Kan won't allow BJ to pass to mount.
BJ moves into full mount! Kan won't be happy about that!
Kan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
BJ has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kan's face.
BJ scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Kan looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
BJ postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kan looks a forlorn figure.
BJ cracks Kan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

BJ postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Kan bigstyle! Two more strikes land for BJ and the fight is over!
