Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Benny Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benny Allen is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Benny Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Bishop! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allen moves in looking to clinch but Bishop pushes him off. Allen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bishop doesn't seem bothered though. Allen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bishop moves away. A combination from Allen does no damage. Bishop looks for a takedown but Allen sprawls well. Bishop fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bishop tries to keep at a distance but Allen has taken the fight into the clinch. Allen displaying some good clinch control by pressing Bishop up against the cage. Bishop looking for a takedown. Benny Allen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan Bishop. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allen stalling against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Allen gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Allen is pressed up against the cage. Bishop has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Allen down to the mat. Allen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Allen rushes Bishop and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bishop is trying to break free. Bishop tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bishop fails to pull guard.
Bishop letting Allen take a breather here. Bishop changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Allen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Allen has closed the distance and engaged Bishop in a clinch.
Bishop drops down looking for an ankle pick but Allen pulls his leg out and moves away.

Allen tries to clinch but Bishop is having none of it. Bryan Bishop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bishop will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Allen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Allen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bishop doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Allen. Allen is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bishop!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Allen looking to ground and pound but Bishop is blocking nicely. Allen looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Bishop tries to get back to half guard but can't. BOOM! Allen connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Allen looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Allen is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bishop is surviving well by controlling Allen's body position as best he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bishop feints and as Allen raises his hands in defense, Bishop changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bishop postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Allen keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully. Bishop postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Bishop working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Allen's head. Bishop lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Bishop working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Allen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bishop stands up over Allen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Allen wants to sweep here but Bishop controlling him for the moment. Bishop tries to free his leg and advance position but Allen is retaining full guard. Bishop really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Allen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bishop working some strikes from top position. Allen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bishop is one step ahead there. Bishop looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Allen fails with an attempt to clinch.

Bishop thows a huge punch but Allen dodges it nicely.

Bryan Bishop showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Bishop shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Allen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Allen pulls guard effortlessly. Allen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Allen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bishop distracts Allen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bishop is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bishop stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Allen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Allen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop scoring with some ground and pound. Bishop pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Allen is keeping the position for now. Bishop trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bishop postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A slow jab from Allen misses its intended target. Bishop shoots and misses and Allen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bishop! Bishop wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Allen.
Allen prevents Bishop from getting the reversal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Allen goes for an armbar but Bishop turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bishop.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bishop trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bishop wants to control from the top but Allen keeps moving. Allen looking for a sweep. Not yet Allen, not yet. Bishop scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Allen is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Bishop frees his head nicely. Oh but Allen has switched to an armbar! Bishop is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
