Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Ou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Cardon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ou comes to the cage accompanied by Advance On. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Ou! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danny Cardon! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cardon on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cardon. Cardon scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ou on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ou is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cardon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ou wants to get back to full guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cardon in particular looking to stall. Ou knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cardon on the ground. Cardon missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Cardon tries to pass to full mount but Ou defends it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cardon gets a clinch. Cardon tries to score a body lock takedown but Ou shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ou is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Cardon cracks Ou with a nice body shot. Cardon swings wildly with an uppercut but Ou uses good head movement to avoid it. Ou prevents a body shot from Cardon. Ou's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Cardon tries to work over Ou's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Cardon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ou pulls him back up using the underhooks. Joe Ou has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Cardon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cardon tries to work over Ou's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A head punch on the inside from Cardon fails to land. Cardon tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Ou is trying to force a seperation but Cardon has the dominant position. Ou has had enough of the clinch but Cardon keeps him there for the moment. Cardon misses with a short punch on the inside. A head punch blocked on the inside by Ou. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Ou wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ou wants to break the clinch but can't.
Cardon pulls guard effortlessly. Cardon looking to control.
Ou trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cardon's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cardon controlling Ou's posture. Cardon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Cardon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ou wants to stand but Cardon has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Cardon is trying to control the position but Ou postures up. Cardon controlling Ou's posture. Ou stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cardon swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cardon looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Cardon is controlling Ou's posture. Ou preventing the sweep. Ou wants to stand but Cardon is controlling his posture from full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ou misses with a double jab.
Ou leaves Cardon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A combination from Ou does no damage. Ou will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cardon moves into range and clinches up with Ou. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Ou working hard to break the clinch. Cardon stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Ou is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Cardon dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ou swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ou throws a hook to the side of Cardon's head but Cardon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Cardon moves away from the strike by Ou. Cardon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Cardon looks for a takedown but Ou sprawls well. A looping hook to the body misses from Ou. Cardon does a little dance to reset his feet. Cardon is looking to clinch. Cardon shoots in for a double leg but Ou sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Cardon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ou napping and manages to drive through into side control! Ou tries to bench press Cardon off him but Cardon keeps the position. Cardon working the ground and pound but Ou is defending the strikes. Cardon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ou keeps working. Cardon working the head and body with strikes. Cardon working the body and head with strikes. Cardon working the body and head with strikes. Cardon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Cardon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ou, who protects the arm well. Ou might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ou is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cardon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ou keeps working. Ou on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ou tries to get out of the position. Ou is looking to reverse the position. Cardon controls the position. Cardon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ou is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Cardon in side control lands a decent elbow. Cardon creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ou sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Cardon working the ground and pound but Ou is defending the strikes. You can see the frustration on Ou's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ou tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cardon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Cardon working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ou wants to control but Cardon postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cardon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ou wants to control but Cardon postures up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cardon closes the distance and pushes Ou back into the cage. Cardon can't find room to land a body shot as Ou controls the action.
Ou can't break the clinch.
Cardon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cardon wants the takedown. Ou is fighting it off but Cardon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ou's guard against the cage. Cardon passes Ou's left leg - he's now in half guard. Cardon landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Cardon thows a huge punch but Ou dodges it nicely.
Cardon wants to control but Ou is keeping him busy. Cardon with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Ou tries to get to full guard but Cardon has control of the leg. Ou manages to get to full guard.
Cardon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ou swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cardon with a flurry of punches that miss. Ou is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cardon is controlling him. Cardon is stalling in the full guard. Ou preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cardon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ou seems keen to control Cardon's posture. Ou is trying to control the position but Cardon postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Cardon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cardon has picked Ou up - he's going for a ride! Cardon dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Cardon works his way into full mount! Cardon is landing with some decent strikes but Ou is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
It looks like Joe Ou has been cut. Cardon scoring with strikes but Ou is staying in there. Cardon scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Joe Ou's cut is getting worse. Cardon prevents Ou from getting the reversal. Cardon is landing with some decent strikes but Ou is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jeez, Joe Ou's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joe Ou's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
