Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marwin Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmilson Cafu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edmilson Cafu has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marwin Silva's chin.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Cafu's thigh. Cafu counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Cafu is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Silva has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Silva controls Cafu momentarily but Cafu frees himself.

Cafu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cafu keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That was a close round but I would say that Marwin Silva will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cafu is trying to defend but Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Silva pulls Cafu in close to prevent any damage.
Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cafu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cafu decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Silva avoids the head kick by Cafu.
Cafu tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.

Edmilson Cafu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cafu sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.

Cafu throws a head kick that Silva semi-blocks.
Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Silva goes for an armbar but Cafu turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Cafu.
Cafu wants to stand but Silva is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
Marwin Silva showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
