Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie O Hare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulie Wogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paulie Wogg has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie O Hare! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Paulie Wogg! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wogg tries to close the distance and clinch up but O Hare swats him away and circles back towards the center. Good exchange - O Hare coming out on top.
It looks like Paulie Wogg has been cut. O Hare lands with a nice body kick. Wogg checks a leg kick. O Hare throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wogg fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt O Hare. A combination from O Hare does no damage. O Hare throws a left that rocks Wogg and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! O Hare dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Wogg regain composure!
Wogg is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! O Hare working the ground and pound from side control. Wogg is still in real trouble! Can O Hare finish him? O Hare trying to control the action but Wogg is working from the bottom. Wogg seems to have recovered his senses. O Hare is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wogg is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Wogg trying to remain calm as O Hare controls from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wogg sneaks back into half guard. Wogg looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Wogg tries to get to full guard but O Hare has control of the leg. Wogg looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Wogg is trying to defend against the ground and pound but O Hare scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wogg is looking to improve his position.
O Hare looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. O Hare wants to take a breather but Wogg is having none of it. Wogg regains full guard. Nicely done. Wogg looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. O Hare passes Wogg's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. O Hare stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wogg is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but O Hare pulls his head out easily. O Hare seems to be working for a kimura but Wogg defends the submission attempt. O Hare trying to control the pace. O Hare seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wogg for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Eddie O Hare. Wogg tries to close the distance and clinch up but O Hare swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wogg doesn't manage to clinch there - O Hare circles away.
O Hare throws a quick inside leg kick. O Hare lands a jab. Wogg checks a leg kick nicely. O Hare pulls out of a head kick attempt.
O Hare takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. O Hare lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. O Hare misses with a head kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for O Hare. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice body punch from O Hare. O Hare connects with a single shot there. Wogg tries to clinch but O Hare moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eddie O Hare dominated that round. The cut man is working on Paulie Wogg's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Wogg is looking to clinch but O Hare is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wogg looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wogg closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. O Hare turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and O Hare manages to end up in side control. O Hare looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Wogg tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but O Hare wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. O Hare wants to control but Wogg is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wogg is trying to improve his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. O Hare tries to clinch but Wogg is having none of it. Wogg fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. O Hare sprawls well initially but Wogg persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wogg throws a strike but O Hare avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Wogg looking to pass the guard. O Hare is pulling down on Wogg's head. It's preventing any offense from Wogg, at least for the moment. O Hare wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Hare controlling Wogg's posture. O Hare bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wogg's guard. O Hare wants to control from the top but Wogg keeps moving. O Hare postures up in Wogg's guard and throws a big left but Wogg blocks it. O Hare stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wogg swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wogg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wogg looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
O Hare working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Hare working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wogg's head. Wogg has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but O Hare can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wogg is breathing heavily. O Hare trying to control the position from guard on top but Wogg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. O Hare lands a couple of elbows. O Hare lands a couple of elbows. O Hare stopping the sweep attempt from Wogg. O Hare trying to control the position from guard on top but Wogg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wogg is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and O Hare defends well. O Hare with a nice head shot there. O Hare controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. O Hare wants to control from the top but Wogg keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eddie O Hare dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Paulie Wogg's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
O Hare missing with a left hand there. Wogg was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Wogg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. O Hare pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Wogg closes the distance looking to clinch and O Hare counters with a straight punch to the midsection. O Hare chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Wogg takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Hare throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Eddie O Hare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. O Hare rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wogg moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Wogg is looking to clinch but O Hare is avoiding it.
O Hare misses with a double jab.
Wogg wants to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Hare wants to clinch but Wogg slips to the side and Wogg counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Eddie O Hare is winning the standup battle so far. O Hare wants to clinch but Wogg slips to the side and Wogg counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for O Hare! Both fighters are breathing heavily. O Hare is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Wogg throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Wogg thowing shots but they're missing. Wogg working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. O Hare turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Wogg off and cradles O Hare's limp body as Wogg celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Paulie Wogg! Paulie Wogg is the new lightweight champion!
