The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jericho bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

and Jericho decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dos Santos's guard.

Dos Santos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jericho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jericho stands up and waves to Dos Santos to follow him.
Dos Santos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jericho tries to avoid it but Dos Santos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jericho to the ground. Jericho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dos Santos moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Jericho takes the fight into the clinch.

Jericho has hold of one of Dos Santos's legs. Dos Santos is fighting the takedown attempt but Jericho gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Dos Santos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jericho is just riding it out for now. Dos Santos eventually gives up the hold.

Jericho has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dos Santos uses from the top position.
