Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Dux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Don't You Give Your Love Away as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Dux! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Victor Brown! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dux misses with a wild combination.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dux!
Dux throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brown sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dux throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dux will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dux looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brown avoids the head kick by Dux.
Dux uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brown. Dux throws a right and a left that both miss. Dux will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Dux avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Dux misses with the combination.
Dux looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brown drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Brown stops Dux from standing up. Dux working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brown. Brown postures up in Dux's guard and throws a big left but Dux blocks it. Brown throws and elbow that misses. Dux uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Brown's guard. Nice move by Dux! Brown wants to sweep here but Dux controlling him for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dux would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Brown is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Dux dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown looks for a takedown but Dux sprawls well. Frank Dux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Brown. Dux swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brown counters with a shoot takedown. Dux fights it but they end up in guard. Brown passes easily into side control. Nice work. Dux knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground.

Dux takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Brown tries to advance to mount but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown lands an elbow. Dux parries the strikes from Brown easily there. Brown is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dux to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dux is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Brown postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dux pushes Brown away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Brown gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Brown throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dux managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Brown.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dux scores with a nice head shot. Dux throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brown. Dux throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily. Dux misses with a wild combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big right from Brown misses. Brown misses with a hook. Dux ducked under it nicely. Brown throws out a token jab with nothing on it. That was a close second round but I would say that Frank Dux will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Brown is lucky that one didn't land flush. Dux moves out of range of the strikes. Brown connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Dux defending well as Brown loads up on a big left hand. Dux moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Dux rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brown showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dux.

Dux fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Brown looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Dux throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease. Brown misses with a looping right. Brown tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dux was well out of range. Poor timing from Brown. Dux misses with a combination
and Brown counters with a lovely straight right hand! Brown dives in and grabs Dux's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dux pushes down on Brown's head and hops out. Dux misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brown catches Dux with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Dux scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Brown shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brown showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown trying to control from half guard but Dux is working away. Brown missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Brown is trying to control the action in half guard but Dux is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Brown trying to control from Dux's half guard. Dux has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Victor Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brown has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dux swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dux is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Brown pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dux is keeping the position for now.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Brown closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dux to the mat! Dux manages to get full guard. Brown throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Brown thows a big elbow that misses. Frank Dux is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Brown throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dux works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Dux showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dux, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
