And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Timmy Mallet!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carthew wants to clinch up but Mallet keeps it at a distance.
Carthew is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carthew shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mallet pinned against the cage. Mallet gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Carthew shoots in but Mallet avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Carthew is looking to clinch but Mallet is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carthew tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mallet swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mallet leaves Carthew with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Carthew. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mallet throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Bobby Carthew has been cut.

A right-left combo lands from Mallet.
Carthew shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mallet defends it nicely.
Carthew slaps away a takedown attempt from Mallet, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mallet lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carthew circles away quickly and effectively.
Carthew throws a lazy head kick
and Mallet counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Mallet has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Carthew.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carthew wants to clinch
and Mallet counters with a two punch combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carthew misses with the body kick
and Mallet counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mallet lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carthew circles away quickly and effectively.
Carthew fails with the takedown
and Mallet counters with a takedown into side control.
Mallet grinds an elbow into Carthew's temple.
Bobby Carthew's cut is getting worse.
Mallet lands a strong strike to the head of Carthew. That's dazed him! Mallet looking to finish here. Carthew is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mallet lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Timmy Mallet!
