Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylvia doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.
James moves out of range of the body kick from Sylvia.
James leaves Sylvia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
James has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sylvia tries to pull guard but James holds him up against the cage and eventually Sylvia drops back down to his feet.
A right hook to the body lands for Sylvia.
James gets control of Sylvia's arms and successfully pulls guard. James will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Sylvia is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Sylvia has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of James is proving hard to escape from.
Sylvia wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of James's closed guard. He's half up but James has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! James pivots and extends the arm, Sylvia falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by James! Well done that man!
