Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devon McCall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Myshkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCall comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Be Touched by Roy Jones Jr. Myshkin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rock Version of the Russian National Anthem. Devon McCall had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Devon McCall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dmitry Myshkin!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Myshkin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
McCall tries to free his leg and advance position but Myshkin is retaining full guard.
Myshkin looking for a sweep. Not yet Myshkin, not yet.
Myshkin wants to improve his position but instead McCall has moved into half guard.
McCall trying to control the pace.
McCall is tying to control. Myshkin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCall sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Myshkin defending well though.
Still in half guard, McCall seems content to control.
McCall wants to lay and pray for a moment but Myshkin keeps working.

McCall is looking for a kimura here.
McCall not landing any meaningful shots this time.
McCall is trying to control the action in half guard but Myshkin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
McCall needs to keep his hands up - Myshkin had a free shot at his head there.
McCall has a takedown stuffed.
Myshkin tries to clinch up but McCall circles away and keeps his distance.
Myshkin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Myshkin doesn't succeed with the takedown
and McCall counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

McCall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Myshkin, pushing him back against the cage.
Myshkin tries for a takedown but McCall manages to get underhooks.

McCall is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Myshkin can't fight it off and eventually McCall manages to take the fight to the floor. Myshkin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Myshkin has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but McCall has passed into side control.
Myshkin is trying to get back to half guard.
Myshkin is not content to let McCall control the position.
McCall cracks Myshkin with a big elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Myshkin tries to buck McCall off but McCall is having none of it.
Myshkin regains half guard.
McCall wants to control but Myshkin is keeping him busy.
Myshkin wants to control but McCall is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Myshkin moves into full guard.
Myshkin looking to hit a scissor sweep but McCall is one step ahead there.
McCall is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McCall not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
McCall has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
McCall trying to control the position from guard on top but Myshkin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Myshkin looking for a sweep. Not yet Myshkin, not yet.

McCall gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
McCall shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A head kick from Myshkin lands but McCall takes it in his stride.
Myshkin gets off balance looking for a body kick

and McCall counters with a takedown into side control.
Myshkin gets back to half guard.
McCall trying to control the pace.

McCall looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

McCall is working for a kimura but Myshkin is defending it quite comfortably.
McCall keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McCall connects with a nice short shot to Myshkin's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCall keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCall wants to take a breather but Myshkin is having none of it.
McCall stops Myshkin from getting back to his feet.
McCall seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Myshkin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

McCall in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Myshkin tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from McCall!
