Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Peixoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emerson Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emerson Santos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peixoto has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Igor Peixoto has been cut.
Peixoto looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Santos gets the takedown into side control.
Peixoto is not content to let Santos control the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Peixoto prevents Santos from moving into mount.

Santos looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Santos throws an elbow but Peixoto slips to the side and avoids it well.

Santos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Santos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Santos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Peixoto, who protects the arm well.
Santos has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Santos jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Peixoto manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Peixoto defending against the ground and pound.
Sloppy strikes there by Santos.
Santos looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Peixoto is avoiding damage well.
Santos misses with the ground and pound.

Santos working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Santos wants to control but Peixoto is keeping him busy.

Santos is trying to get an arm triangle but Peixoto is defending well.

Santos is working to tighten is grip on Peixoto's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Peixoto has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Santos is really squeezing tight and eventually Peixoto passes out! Santos breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
