Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matija Pavlovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshi Gnomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matija Pavlovich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Yoshi Gnomi! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gnomi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gnomi lands in his opponent's guard. Gnomi wants to stand and escape but instead Pavlovich has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gnomi wants to stand but Pavlovich is controlling the position. Pavlovich decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Gnomi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pavlovich as he avoids it easily. Pavlovich connects with a high kick.
It looks like Yoshi Gnomi has been cut. Pavlovich tries to close the distance and clinch but Gnomi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gnomi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pavlovich's waist but Pavlovich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gnomi off to one side. A head kick from Pavlovich lands but Gnomi takes it in his stride. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gnomi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pavlovich scores with a kick to the midsection. Gnomi looks gassed! Pavlovich scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pavlovich sitting and controlling from the half guard. Gnomi on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Pavlovich throwing shots but Gnomi is blocking nicely. Pavlovich wants to take a breather but Gnomi is having none of it. Pavlovich wants to free his trapped foot but Gnomi is holding on for dear life with his legs. Pavlovich not doing much here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pavlovich tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gnomi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Gnomi trying to control here.
Pavlovich wants to free his trapped foot but Gnomi is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pavlovich is looking to clinch but Gnomi is avoiding it.
Pavlovich throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Gnomi moves out of range as Pavlovich throws a body kick.
Gnomi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice body kick there by Pavlovich.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pavlovich scores with a nice body kick.
Gnomi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pavlovich lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Pavlovich stalks Gnomi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gnomi's face. Gnomi staggers backwards, shaken. Pavlovich tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Pavlovich bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee asks Pavlovich politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pavlovich prefers to stall for the moment though. Gnomi can't do much from the bottom here. Gnomi is working to avoid the ground and pound but Pavlovich connects with a decent elbow. Pavlovich in side control lands a decent elbow. Gnomi is letting Pavlovich control him for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gnomi is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pavlovich's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Gnomi is looking to improve his position.
Pavlovich escapes and gets back to his feet. Pavlovich throws a nice inside leg kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pavlovich closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gnomi circles away. Pavlovich displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gnomi. Matija Pavlovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshi Gnomi. Pavlovich moves into the clinch successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matija Pavlovich dominated that round. The cut man is working on Yoshi Gnomi's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Gnomi stuffs the takedown attempt from Pavlovich. Pavlovich gets slowly back to his feet. Gnomi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pavlovich counters with a nice kick to the body. Matija Pavlovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gnomi blocks the body kick.
Gnomi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pavlovich did well to prevent Gnomi getting side control. Pavlovich tries to kick Gnomi off but Gnomi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gnomi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pavlovich keeps working. Pavlovich is defending against the submission attempts here by Gnomi.
Gnomi is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Pavlovich manages to get to full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pavlovich wants to get back to his feet but Gnomi is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Gnomi looking to pass the guard. Gnomi stays in close to Pavlovich's body and controls the position. Pavlovich is trying to keep Gnomi in close.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gnomi.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pavlovich goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Gnomi has a takedown stuffed. Pavlovich shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gnomi is trying to defend but Pavlovich finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Pavlovich throwing shots but Gnomi is blocking nicely. Gnomi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pavlovich stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pavlovich doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gnomi counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Gnomi moves nicely into side control. Pavlovich regains half guard, as Gnomi was trying to land strikes. Pavlovich is trying to maintain the position but Gnomi is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gnomi wants to free his trapped foot but Pavlovich is holding on for dear life with his legs. Gnomi controlling the action here. Pavlovich is trying to get back to full guard. Pavlovich is not content to let Gnomi control the position. Pavlovich is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yoshi Gnomi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Yoshi Gnomi's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Gnomi throws a head kick but Pavlovich moves out of range.
Pavlovich wants to clinch but Gnomi slips to the side and Gnomi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pavlovich thinking. Gnomi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Pavlovich. Pavlovich obviously looking to wear him down.
Gnomi has his takedown stuffed and Pavlovich counters with a good low kick that Gnomi was not able to check. Gnomi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Gnomi takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Pavlovich tries to clinch and Gnomi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gnomi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pavlovich works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gnomi wants to pass the guard but Pavlovich is keeping the position. Pavlovich striking off his back. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pavlovich is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Pavlovich is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gnomi softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Pavlovich is trying to break the clinch but Gnomi has him pressed against the cage. Pavlovich tries to pull guard but Gnomi holds him up against the cage and eventually Pavlovich drops back down to his feet.
Gnomi works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Gnomi tries to stand but Pavlovich is controlling from the bottom. Gnomi is pushing down on Pavlovich's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pavlovich is fighting to maintain full guard but Gnomi has managed to sneak the leg through. Pavlovich is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gnomi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gnomi's back! Yoshi Gnomi has got the better of the ground game so far. Pavlovich looking for the choke from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pavlovich lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Pavlovich.
Pavlovich throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Gnomi can't escape the position.
Pavlovich lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Gnomi hold on?!
Gnomi breaks Pavlovich's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Pavlovich keeping full guard, as Gnomi tries to pass. Gnomi postures up in Pavlovich's guard and throws a big left but Pavlovich blocks it. Pavlovich utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Left hook, right uppercut from Pavlovich. Gnomi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pavlovich counters with a nice leg kick. Gnomi shoots for a double leg takedown but Pavlovich sprawls well. He's pushed Gnomi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Matija Pavlovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshi Gnomi. Pavlovich looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Gnomi swats away the attempt to clinch by Pavlovich. Gnomi gets a takedown into half guard. Gnomi is looking to stall here but Pavlovich recovers full guard. Pavlovich has his feet on Gnomi's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pavlovich bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gnomi's head. Horrible takedown by Gnomi or perhaps it was just good defense by Pavlovich which made him look bad. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gnomi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pavlovich - the referee stops the clock and Gnomi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pavlovich. Gnomi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Pavlovich tries to clinch up. Pavlovich misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pavlovich wants to clinch and Gnomi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pavlovich's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pavlovich wants to sweep but no luck.
And that's the end of the fight! Yoshi Gnomi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Gnomi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
