Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jeremiah Brody!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus OConnor!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OConnor shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. OConnor showed some decent athleticism there.
OConnor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brody's head.
OConnor is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brody has managed to free his arm - good work.
OConnor not landing any meaningful shots this time.
OConnor content to control rather than advance.

OConnor has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brody can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
OConnor has his foot on Brody's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brody works his way back into a safe position though.
Brody has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of OConnor is proving hard to escape from.
Brody won't allow OConnor to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and OConnor counters with a shoot takedown. Brody fights it but they end up in guard.

Brody has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes OConnor off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
OConnor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
OConnor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brody gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A close round but Marcus OConnor will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

OConnor drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brody manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now OConnor has Brody in his guard.

Brody tries for a takedown but OConnor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brody gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeremiah Brody will probably get the nod.

OConnor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than OConnor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
OConnor swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Brody is now in OConnor's guard. A big mistake from OConnor there, giving up the dominant position!
OConnor has a closed guard, preventing Brody from standing up.

Marcus OConnor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think OConnor has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
