Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bako King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rogers is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Get up. Cody Rogers is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rogers sees it coming and avoids it easily. King cracks Rogers with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. No joy there for Rogers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
King scores with a nice head shot. King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. King moves out of range as Rogers strikes. Rogers looks to throw the jab but King is out of range. King looks to land a left hand but Rogers moved out of range nicely. King lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Cody Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Rogers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
King fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Rogers waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract King. Decent striking displayed by King there. King scores with a jab to the head.
Left hook, right uppercut from King. King moves out of range of the strikes. Rogers fails in his attempt to clinch. King lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and King counters with a stiff right hand. King fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Rogers takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Rogers takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Rogers throws a hook to the side of King's head but King sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. King staying out of range there. Rogers throws a hook but King blocks it. King lands with a right hand. Rogers missing with a left hand there. King was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. King lands with a right hand. Nice sprawl there from Rogers as King shoots in. Rogers gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rogers is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. King takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rogers misses with a straight right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King ducks under a wild hook from Rogers. An inside leg kick from Rogers misses. King scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nice uppercut lands for King. That snapped Rogers's head back.

and King cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. King scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. King scores with a body shot.

King is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. King moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A punch lands to the side of King 's head but he takes it in his stride. King shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rogers as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King staying out of range there. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from King. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bako King. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rogers misses with a telegraphed body shot
and King counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. King is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. King slips a jab from Rogers. Rogers looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Rogers darts in trying to clinch and King counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Rogers takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Rogers wants to clinch but King slips to the side and King counters with a lovely straight right hand! King is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Rogers has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from King finds it's way round the side to connect with Rogers's head. Cody Rogers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts King, as that shot connected.

That's four minutes gone in the round. King fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rogers throws a series of strikes that have King backpedaling.
Rogers darts in trying to clinch and King counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rogers just misses with a punch to the body.
Rogers takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Rogers shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Rogers jabbing away but nothing is landing. Rogers is on the wrong end of a nice combination from King. King swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rogers.
Rogers is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rogers takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Rogers looks gassed! A big right from Rogers misses. King is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. King scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bako King dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

King connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rogers's hands. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Rogers might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, King has got the better of the exchanges. Rogers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rogers misses with an uppercut. Rogers is on the wrong end of a nice combination from King. Rogers clinches but King breaks the clinch and King counters with a stiff right hand. King connects with a right hand. Rogers shakes it off. King slips under a jab from Rogers. Rogers misses with a telegraphed body shot

That's one minute gone in the round. King lands with an uppercut that bounces Rogers off the cage and back into rage. Rogers wants to clinch and King counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rogers throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and King cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rogers is still on wobbly legs! Can King finish him? King cracks Rogers with a good jab. King steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rogers. Rogers wants to clinch and King counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. King is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rogers's half guard. Rogers seems to have recovered his senses. King is trying to control. Rogers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. King prevents Rogers from improving his position. King tries to pass to full mount but Rogers defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers wants to control but King is keeping busy.
King looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. King stops Rogers from getting back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. King is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rogers can do to turn this around? Rogers trying to hold on to King's head to control him but King postures up.
King is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. King tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rogers knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. King controlling the action here. King gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Rogers throws a looping overhand right but King ducks down to avoid it. King shoots for a takedown but Rogers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bako King dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
King moves away from the strike by Rogers. Cody Rogers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. King throws out a powerful jab. Rogers has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Rogers darts in trying to clinch and King counters with a lovely straight right hand! King has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rogers finds it's way round the side to connect with King's head. A decent looking cross lands there for King. Rogers throws a combination. King tries to block but a couple of punches get through. King tries for a takedown but Rogers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rogers throws a hook to the side of King's head but King sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rogers takes one on the button. King uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rogers throws a combination that misses and King counters with a shoot takedown. Rogers fights it but they end up in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rogers sitting and controlling from the half guard. Rogers is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Rogers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. King is looking to escape. Cody Rogers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bako King is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rogers is looking to advance position but King won't allow it. Rogers seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Rogers sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. King defending well though. Rogers is keen to just control but King is a slippery customer. Rogers tries to pass the half guard into mount. King knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rogers circles away quickly and effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers tries to land a body kick and King counters with a nice uppercut. Rogers sizes up King with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Rogers has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from King. Rogers closes the distance and pushes King back into the cage. King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rogers throws a head kick that misses. Rogers throws a jab but it's blocked by King. Left hook, right uppercut from King. Rogers throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rogers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A jab from Rogers misses. King lunges at Rogers with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rogers's hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Donk. King catches Rogers right on the button with a cross. Rogers closes the distance but King moves to the side letting King counter with a right hand. Rogers throws a left and a right that both miss
and King counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rogers lands a nice shot to the body.
Rogers misses with a looping left. Rogers waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract King. King ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rogers takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. King connects with a nice looking jab.

and King counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rogers tries to move into range but King moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. King sizes up Rogers with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. King throws a series of strikes that have Rogers backpedaling.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bako King. Well I reckon that's a shut out for King, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
