Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Gap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose comes to the ring accompanied by Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos. Hunter Rose has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Gap!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose throws a hook to the side of Gap's head but Gap sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Rose has Gap up against the ropes in a clinch.
Gap wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rose wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Rose breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rose with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Gap scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Gap is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Rose has managed to free his arm - good work.
Gap thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rose's head.

Gap shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gap was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rose is trying to escape the mount but Gap keeps good control and instead manages to take Rose's back.

Gap is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rose has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gap wants to pass to mount but Rose is defending the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Gap changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rose tries to avoid it but Gap manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rose to the ground. Rose escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rose comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Gap shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rose's guard.
Rose could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gap drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gap jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gap stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rose swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gap is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Rose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gap doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gap manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gap shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rose as he jumps to the side.

Gap manages to reverse the position and now he's in Rose's guard. Nice work there by Gap.

Gap cracks Rose with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Gap is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Rose is in real trouble.
