Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Paladium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akiro Yakumacu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Paladium! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akiro Yakumacu! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yakumacu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Yakumacu shoots in but Paladium avoids the takedown attempt easily. Yakumacu has a takedown stuffed. John Paladium has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akiro Yakumacu. Yakumacu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Paladium swivels and escapes. Yakumacu closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Paladium did well to prevent Yakumacu getting side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Paladium is looking to improve his position.
Yakumacu winds up and cracks Paladium with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Paladium tries to roll over but Yakumacu keeps him under control. Paladium keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Paladium is looking to control Yakumacu's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Paladium avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paladium is looking for a sweep. Yakumacu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Yakumacu has eaten all the pies! Yakumacu looking for a submission but Paladium manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Yakumacu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Paladium works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Yakumacu looks gassed!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Paladium clinches with his opponent.
Paladium breaks from the clinch.
Yakumacu shoots in but Paladium avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nice sprawl there from Paladium as Yakumacu shoots in. Paladium digs a good hook to Yakumacu's body.
Akiro Yakumacu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paladium instigates a clinch. Paladium lands a left hand that snaps the head of Yakumacu backwards. Paladium has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Yakumacu clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Paladium tries to get the hooks in deep but Yakumacu pushed the leg off. What can Yakumacu do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Paladium lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Paladium.
Paladium is working the ground and pound. Can Yakumacu escape? Paladium softening up his opponent with strikes here.

Paladium looking to break Yakumacu's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Yakumacu remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Paladium will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Paladium doesn't have the hooks in and Yakumacu manages to turn into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yakumacu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Paladium keeping full guard, as Yakumacu tries to pass. Yakumacu is looking to work some ground and pound but Paladium has wrist control. Yakumacu drops back looking for a leg! Paladium is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Paladium manages to kick Yakumacu off! Yakumacu jumps back into Paladium's guard. Yakumacu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Yakumacu wants to pass the guard but Paladium is keeping the position. Yakumacu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Paladium is trying to control the position but Yakumacu postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Paladium takes the fight into the clinch. Paladium is pressed up against the cage. Yakumacu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Paladium down to the mat. Paladium avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Paladium closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Paladium gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Paladium drags the fight down to the ground.
Yakumacu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Yakumacu has gone for a leg lock! Paladium slips out almost immediately though and dives into Yakumacu's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yakumacu trying to keep a closed guard but Paladium is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Paladium dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Paladium stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Paladium wants it to stay on the feet. Yakumacu gets caught flat footed, as Paladium shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Paladium is looking to stand up but Yakumacu won't let him. Paladium throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Paladium working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Yakumacu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Paladium defends it easily. Paladium postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Yakumacu looking for a guillotine here but Paladium defends easily.
Yakumacu looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paladium avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Paladium passes Yakumacu's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Paladium lands strikes from half guard. Yakumacu trying to hold on to Paladium's head to control him but Paladium postures up.
Paladium is trying to work for a kimura but Yakumacu is defending well.
Yakumacu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Paladium is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Paladium looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Paladium is thwarting Yakumacu's attempts to control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Yakumacu with a lazy takedown attempt and Paladium decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yakumacu's guard. Yakumacu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Yakumacu looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Paladium is defending well. Yakumacu quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Paladium has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Yakumacu celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
