Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Steelman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Axle Avrington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steelman gets a takedown into half guard. Steelman tries to stand but can't do so whilst Axle Avrington controls his leg. Steelman performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steelman is just content to waste time from the top position. Axle Avrington takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steelman trying to control the position from guard on top but Axle Avrington is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Axle Avrington holds on and takes a little breather. Steelman wants to stand and escape but instead Axle Avrington has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Axle Avrington stops Steelman from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Axle Avrington is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Let's hope that Axle Avrington has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Axle Avrington's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alexander Axle Avrington. Steelman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Axle Avrington swats him away and circles back towards the center. Axle Avrington shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steelman as he avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Steelman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Axle Avrington counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Steelman tries to break the clinch but Axle Avrington is controlling the position. Steelman is pressed up against the cage. Axle Avrington has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Steelman down to the mat. Steelman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Steelman waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Axle Avrington. Steelman tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Axle Avrington holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Steelman is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Steelman breaks from the clinch.
Axle Avrington shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steelman as he avoids it easily. Jack Steelman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Axle Avrington. Axle Avrington is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jack Steelman will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Axle Avrington has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Steelman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Axle Avrington goes for a takedown in the clinch but Steelman prevents it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Axle Avrington drops back looking for a leg! Steelman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steelman manages to kick Axle Avrington off! Axle Avrington jumps back into Steelman's guard. Steelman is trying to control the position but Axle Avrington postures up. Steelman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Steelman wants to stand and escape but Axle Avrington is having none of it. Steelman being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steelman trying to strike off his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Steelman wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Axle Avrington showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Steelman pushes Axle Avrington back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Axle Avrington takes a knee to the side of the body. Steelman is pressed up against the cage. Axle Avrington has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Steelman down to the mat. Steelman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Steelman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Steelman looks to clinch and Axle Avrington counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Axle Avrington. Axle Avrington blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Steelman is trying to drag Axle Avrington to the mat but Axle Avrington just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Steelman is pressed up against the cage. Axle Avrington has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Steelman down to the mat. Steelman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Steelman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Axle Avrington's waist but Axle Avrington gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steelman off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steelman darts in trying to clinch and Axle Avrington counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Axle Avrington. Steelman trying to control the position but instead, Axle Avrington has worked for underhooks and has pushed Steelman into the cage. Steelman lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Steelman misses with a hook to the ribs.
Steelman is trying to force a seperation but Axle Avrington has the dominant position. Steelman breaks from the clinch.

Steelman with a lazy takedown attempt and Axle Avrington counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Steelman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steelman wants to control but Axle Avrington is keeping busy and won't allow it. Axle Avrington perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Steelman is in trouble now - Axle Avrington has advanced to mount! Axle Avrington content just to control the position here.

And that's the end of the fight! Alexander Axle Avrington comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Axle Avrington has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
