Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrett tries to clinch but Couture moves out of range.

Couture defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barrett .

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Couture counters with a nice double leg into guard.

and Couture counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Couture wants to control from the top but Barrett keeps moving.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Barrett is squirming around, avoiding Couture's attempts to control the action.

Couture throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Couture stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Randy Couture.
Barrett closes the distance and clinches.
Couture tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Barrett smiles and moves away.
Barrett lands with a kick to the temple. Couture shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Barrett doesn't manage to clinch there - Couture circles away.
Barrett thuds a left hand into Couture's body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A bit of stalling here from Couture.
Couture jumps guard and drags Barrett to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Barrett trying to control the position from guard on top but Couture is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Couture wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Barrett is now in half guard.
Couture tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Barrett is keen to just control but Couture is a slippery customer.

Randy Couture showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Couture looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
No luck for Couture with that takedown attempt.
Couture displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Barrett .

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Barrett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Couture tries to avoid it but Barrett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Couture to the ground. Couture escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Couture slaps away a takedown attempt from Barrett , before circling back to the center of the mat.

Couture is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Barrett 's half guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Troy Barrett .
