Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Garnett Layden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theo Radcliffe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Layden comes to the ring accompanied by Atmosphere's Trying To Find A Balance. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Layden slips a jab and a cross from Radcliffe.
Layden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Radcliffe tries to avoid it but Layden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Radcliffe to the ground. Radcliffe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Layden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Radcliffe paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Radcliffe drops Layden with a big left hand and mounts him. Layden is in big trouble!
Layden tries to hold on but Radcliffe postures up.
Layden might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Radcliffe wants to get back to his feet but Layden is holding on tight.

No joy there for Radcliffe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Layden shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Radcliffe but Radcliffe pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Layden throws his legs up looking for a submission but Radcliffe uses it to pass to side control.

Horrible takedown by Layden or perhaps it was just good defense by Radcliffe which made him look bad.
Theo Radcliffe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Layden drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Layden seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Radcliffe for as long as he can get away with.
