Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Eggleston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mamed Khalidov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Eggleston! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khalidov checks a leg kick. Khalidov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Eggleston. Eggleston leaves Khalidov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Eggleston fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Eggleston does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Eggleston misses with a few strikes there.
Daniel Eggleston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Khalidov has his takedown stuffed and Eggleston counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Khalidov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Eggleston trying to control from half guard but Khalidov is working away. Eggleston is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Khalidov reverses the position - he's now on top in Eggleston's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khalidov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Eggleston dives on top into guard. Eggleston pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Khalidov is keeping the position for now. Eggleston throws and elbow that misses. Khalidov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Eggleston's guard. Nice move by Khalidov! Eggleston tries to land a sweep but no joy. Khalidov has gone for a leg lock! Eggleston slips out almost immediately though and dives into Khalidov's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eggleston pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Khalidov is keeping the position for now. Eggleston throws a strike but Khalidov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Khalidov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Eggleston is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Eggleston has escaped and now he's on top! Khalidov keeping moving, preventing Eggleston from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Khalidov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Eggleston. Eggleston wants to control from the top but Khalidov keeps moving. Eggleston loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Eggleston trying to control but Khalidov is working from the bottom. Khalidov keeping full guard, as Eggleston tries to pass. Eggleston controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Eggleston working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Eggleston. Eggleston throws a strike aimed at the side of Khalidov's head but Khalidov avoids it well. Khalidov parries the strikes from Eggleston easily there. Eggleston is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Khalidov to escape.
Eggleston creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Khalidov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Eggleston dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Khalidov misses with a takedown and Eggleston counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Eggleston dives in and grabs Khalidov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Khalidov pushes down on Eggleston's head and hops out. Mamed Khalidov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Eggleston misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Khalidov has his takedown stuffed and Eggleston counters with a left to the body. Eggleston decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Khalidov gets full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eggleston trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Eggleston pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Khalidov is keeping the position for now. Eggleston stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Khalidov has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Eggleston manages to get his head free but now Khalidov has transitioned to an armbar! Eggleston grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Khalidov! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
