Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Azizmullah Khabukthakar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Bader! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khabukthakar tries to clinch up. Khabukthakar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bader swats him away and circles back towards the center. Khabukthakar closes the distance and pushes Bader back into the cage. Khabukthakar wants a takedown but no success here.
Bader takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Jay Bader has been cut. Bader is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Khabukthakar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Khabukthakar creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Bader is trying to break the clinch but Khabukthakar is controlling him. Khabukthakar throws a knee to the head but misses.

Bader displaying some good clinch control by pressing Khabukthakar up against the cage. Khabukthakar connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bader's face.
Khabukthakar throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bader blocks it with crossed arms. Khabukthakar tries to land a knee to the head but Bader blocks with his arms.
Bader gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Bader distracts Khabukthakar with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Khabukthakar is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Bader frees his head nicely. Oh but Khabukthakar has switched to an armbar! Bader is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
