Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Osi Tuck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Wolf! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tuck lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wolf circles away quickly and effectively. Wolf throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wolf wants to clinch. Wolf moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Max Wolf has been cut. Wolf gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tuck tries to free his leg and advance position but Wolf is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tuck is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Tuck pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wolf is keeping the position for now. Wolf keeping moving, preventing Tuck from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tuck passes Wolf's left leg - he's now in half guard. Wolf trying to control from the bottom.
Wolf tries to roll over but Tuck keeps him under control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wolf throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wolf tries to move into range but Tuck moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Wolf gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Tuck. Tuck fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wolf sprawls well initially but Tuck persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wolf is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tuck uses his free foot to push down on Wolf's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wolf. Wolf is trying to escape the mount.
Tuck has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Wolf is forced to tap!
