Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, DAVID GARRETT! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Dossett! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from GARRETT. Danny Dossett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dossett avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
GARRETT with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dossett to score with a decent uppercut. Dossett changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. GARRETT avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Dossett misses with a few strikes there.
GARRETT throws a hook but Dossett blocks it. Dossett misses with a looping right. Dossett scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dossett misses with a double jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from GARRETT. A telegraphed right hand from Dossett misses the target. Dossett lands a right hook to the body.
GARRETT is breathing heavily. GARRETT walks into a left hand.
It looks like DAVID GARRETT has been cut. Dossett scores with a nice right hand.
GARRETT walks straight into a right hand from Dossett - that's dropped him! Dossett jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save GARRETT from any more punishment! GARRETT complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
